The Journey never ends...
Train turning almost 90 degrees near sevagram in Maharashtra..... The tain was so big it just seems endless...
Thanks to the Britishers for constructing the railway lines. Though they had done it for their own benefit...it still stands helping us a lot now....This too is a very old railway tunnel...comes near a place called Teegaon in Maharashtra.... forest area with small hillocks...a very nice view from the train...
Sunrise from the central India... I took this photo, when my passenger train was crossing a bridge near a town called Warora in Maharashtra...
Another contrast of what India is.... The prestigious Rajdhani Express standing in the stinking tracks of New Delhi station
The rikshaas on the way to Ghaziabad... an upcoming suburb of India. I travelled some 3 kilometers in this road and found around 5 shopping malls within that stretch... a super highway.. shopping malls... high rise buildings.... and these rikshaw pullers... clearly depicts the contrast that India is....
Foggy morning... less visibility.... these farms came some one hour before i reached Delhi.... not sure of the place... still as the chilly winds pierce the skin inspite of the sweater, these fogs again teach you something... that one never knows what the life holds
for him.... you never know what lies ahead of you... work for today... tomorrow will be taken care off.... Again people's interpretation may differ....
Another standard thing for a photo... flowers... i thought why should i miss that. But the flowers were so beautiful that i could stop from clicking it. This was a small plant in a pot placed inside the hotel where i stayed. The good thing was that sun light was able to reach the plant and nature always does its job best, when it is let to do...
This is not New York or London.... its our own Delhi..... the delhi metro station... its just cool.... not costly too.. well maintained trains, stations... well lit direction boards... wat else one wants... and you cross Delhi from one end to end in very less time without inhaling all those noxious gases.... introduction of this in other cities will be welcomed very well....
A prime attraction in Nagpur. Had not heard of this place before.... This lake has a coast with ambazari (not sure of its spelling...) gardens... check out http://wikimapia.org/120118/ for more. I reached this place at the right time... if i would have been five minutes late... it would have been dark and i would have missed this great lake... The surface of the look so calm and unruffled while it has the power of a big water body. Seems like it tells all people that be how great you are be calm outside..... Nature can teach humans a lot..
The Swaminarayanan Temple at Delhi. Grand and big temple.. good art works.... high priced canteen, hotel and a gift shop inside....
Karthigai again a festival of lights at our house.... all houses have many lamps lit.... a proper lamp light only... this signals the arrival of the cold season too....
somebody wrote long back "Hum us Desh ke wasi hain jis Desh mein Ganga Behthi hain (Ram teri Ganga Maili)" which means... we are citizens of that country where Ganga flows.... Ganga has been providing food to many people directly and indirectly for long.... and continues to do so..... lets help Ganga help us by keeping it clean.. This photo was taken from the train across Ganga bridge near Kanpur...
Guessed this place???????..... its our own chennai's dumpyard... Pallikaranai.... famous for its marsh and dumpyard.... caught this snap in the rains in chennai two months back.... for those who are wondering wats there in the right side of the photo..... its my finger.....:)
Shot from the besant nagar beach of Chennai.... Near things are invisible... far things are seen....
Besant nagar beach.... corn seller........ the lighting helped me a lot.... was in no idea of taking this snaps... my friend Agasti motivated me to take... so we waited for long... but she never ran that machine coz she didn have any customer. Then my friend volunteered to get the corn. So that time she ran the machine and i clicked......
A green tree in chennai..... fighting its life against the rising pollution... water scarcity. When one looks at the picture how good it looks.... refreshing actually... so let us grow trees... let us protect our environment...
A rainy morning (of course in chennai).... mist in my office bus window.. wrote my name... click..... lo a cool photo before you.... was my desktop wallpaper for long
This was also on display at the Chennai Trade Centre. This tank is used for laying temporary bridges in the war front, a demo of which was also shown there...... A board lay near the tank mentioning its specifications... unfortunately i couldn understand those :)
Had a chance to see the indegenously developed Arjun tank at Chennai Trade Center, Nandambakkam. The best thing being, i was allowed to capture that.
A village road.... early morning.... very relaxing and good.... all days u cant find that elephant...
Birds eye view of Trichy..... except that nothin is visible of the city :). This is from the famous Rock Fort temple
Just bcoz the train came in second platform, i had to climb the stairs to come out and jus happened to take this photo. The half built station adds more beauty to the photo. It would have been still better if the sun had gone down still. But i was to go to another place and was not able to wait for the sun...
Cauvery at full flow..... just looks great, majestic and charming. This is the Cauvery at Kalathur village
Vaitheeswaran Koil is a popular temple in South India situated near Chidambaram. The presiding deity Shiva is a doctor here and this tank water is said to cure diseases. This is more popular for Nadi Jothidam.... still popular after the serial "Chidambara Rahasyam" in Sun TV....
Again a old photo.... the thing i liked is the four big pillars of the mandapam in the photo..... a long one indeed.. and of course beautiful... kudos to the civil engineers of that time
I took this photo when i never had an idea about photography, that i will start blogging one day or start uploading photos..... though the last two were very much popular that time.. This is the tank of the famous Kamatchi Amman Temple at Kancheepuram. This photo is a typical example of amatuer photography at work....
