At last I got some time to explore the wildlife in my house. Being relieved from the project I was currently working, I got a chance to enjoy nature and its wonder and also captured it in my phone.

I always liked to sit and watch nature weaving a magic around us daily. With the office work getting over the head, I was not able to enjoy even a little bit of the nature except for the few occasion which I get, like the one I got now.

There are many small things in nature, which amazes a human being. All the great technologies developed by the Homo sapiens are inspirations from the nature. Nature is so great that, the word invention can be said as understanding nature or discovering nature.

As I came out of the house, I saw the insect walking in the passageway from the main door of my house to the gate. With a yellow colored body, looking similar to a leaf devoid of chlorophyll, it was walking slowly with its four legs. It had two hands too, and it looked like it was praying. My dad saw the insect and said these are called “praying mantis” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Praying_mantis).

The body looked exactly like the yellow colored leaf that was just lying next to it. It was a perfect camouflage. Nature is really great. I wanted to do a little experiment on this, and replaced the yellow leaf with a big green one. Unfortunately, the color of the insect did not change. Maybe it was not like chameleon, or may be it may take a long time to change the color.

But with some work pending in the house, I proceeded to continue them. When I came out again after an hour, I could not find the praying mantis.
